Executive Summary

FIS provides Securities solutions and software for Banking and Financial Institutions worldwide. The software provides a Secured Gateway to how money gets transferred from one Bank or Company to another. FIS' customers required various products and instances to be run in a cloud-native environment. ITTStar provided a team of AWS expert engineers to handle the entire Migration, Infrastructure Setup and Deployment services to deploy these codes on Kubernetes.

These resources required expertise on AWS, Hybrid Network setups, Kubernetes, Dockers, Containerization and Orchestration on which the whole application had to run. There are about 6 environments in AWS on which AWS Aurora PostgreSQL RDS is being used for Database and EKS is used for application deployment. On top of these other AWS services like SQS, Lambda, CloudWatch, Route53, and many others support the application. To automate the process, Terraform Enterprise Edition is being used to create the infrastructure and identity Drifts over a period of time. The entire Infrastructure is secured through Private Endpoint across the client's network and AWS Cloud resources.

Customer Challenge

FIS wanted to hire a team of experts to deliver this project and they didn’t want to go through the multiple vendor approach to create a team. Dealing with multiple vendors was time consuming and they were unable to keep track with multiple vendors. Though this project belonged to FIS Onshore team, FIS wanted to tie up with Cloud Consulting experts who has resources Offshore and bring their AWS experts on a contract basis and deliver the project. This project required 24/7 assistance and a cost-effective solution to deliver this project.
